Many modern MINI vehicles no longer rely only on a stamped paper service book. Maintenance information may also be stored digitally, especially on BMW Group generations that support Digital Service History or Electronic Service History.
MINI is part of the BMW Group. A completed workshop visit may create a digital maintenance record linked to the vehicle. Depending on the MINI, this can support a maintenance timeline with service visits, dates, mileage, workshop entries, inspections, maintenance operations and service interval information.
Official MINI information shows that owners can use the MINI App and MINI Connected services for service features. MINI Netherlands describes app functions such as service alerts, recall alerts, contact with a preferred dealer, online appointments, workshop check-in and roadside assistance. MINI UK also states that MINI Service Inclusive information can be viewed through a MINI Connected account or a preferred MINI Service Partner.
These owner tools are useful, but they are not a guarantee that every past service is visible to a buyer. Availability depends on the model, production year, market, servicing location and digital registrations. A newer MINI Countryman or MINI Electric may have different records from an older MINI Roadster or Paceman with paper invoices.
Use available MINI digital service history as one source of evidence. Compare returned entries with invoices, service book pages, inspection documents, seller statements and the vehicle condition. A missing digital entry does not prove missed maintenance. It means that no matching digital record was available in the returned data.
Official owner information is available through the MINI App service functions, MINI Service og MINI Service Inclusive.
